Divine protection is one of them; it’s your heritage in Christ.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD (Isaiah 54:17).

As Christians, there’re certain things that have been handed over or bequeathed to us as a heritage. Divine protection is one of them; it’s your heritage in Christ. Our opening scripture says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD” (Isaiah 54:17). This scripture was a promise in the Old Testament, but it has become a reality for us in the New Testament.

Romans 8:1 says, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” This is also your heritage in Christ. You can’t be judged anymore. This makes you a master over life and circumstances. Luke 10:19 says nothing shall by any means hurt you; that means you’re impregnable to everything and anything that the enemy can conceive or concoct against you, physical or spiritual. Thus, it’s impossible to defeat you. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Could it get any better than this? What a life we have in Christ! Keep going upward and forward, for the Lord is your refuge and your fortress. He’s your salvation and deliverer from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

No wonder He says, “Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways” (Psalm 91:5-11). Glory to His Name for ever! .
