Called to Save

on Feb 20 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

Luke 10: 2
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.

You are the answer to the prayer for more labourers for the harvest. Isn’t it exciting to know that we are God’s answer to Jesus’ prayer? Now that you know you are the answer, you must make yourself relevant to the ministry of reconciliation. You must make up your mind to harvest more souls for the kingdom.

You must look ahead to the work that is set before you, and say, “Lord, I give myself entirely to be used by you; I want to be relevant in your house.” The Bible says that God “…is a rewarder of they that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Take an active role in the expansion of His kingdom. Be active also in prayer and praise. Look out for a soul to save every day. Bring someone to the place of salvation.

Remember you are God’s answer for more labourers in the harvest. And He seeks to reach the world through you. Make up your mind to be a faithful laborer today.

The Depth Of The Father’s Love

on Jan 30 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life… (John 3:16 CEV).

John 3:16 is probably the most popular verse in the Bible, but many haven’t understood the revelations that lie therein. What world did God love? Was it the hills and the mountains? Was it the vegetation and the rivers? It was none of these. He loved the world of human beings, as sinful and wicked as they were!

Doesn’t it amaze you that even when Adam sinned back in the garden, it was still God who came looking for him? (Genesis 3) Adam was hiding from God, because he had sinned, yet God still covered his nakedness with animal skin, showing that He loved him.

The Bible says “Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). So, clearly God demonstrated His great and boundless love for us, while we were yet in sin.

You may be reading this today and perhaps you’re not born again and you’re wondering, “Can God possibly love someone like me?” Emphatically yes! No matter what kind of life you may have lived, He wants you today.

Now that you know how much God loved the world of sinners, think about how much more He loves those who are born of Him! The Bible says “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life” (Romans 5:10). If He loved the world of wicked men, He loves His kids even more.

If you’re born again, you have no business with poverty, sickness and failure. God has given us His own life, and everything that belongs to Him (Romans 8:17). He did all this because of His great love. Have faith in that love today, because it’s been poured out abundantly for you.

God has ordained for you to live completely independent of circumstances. You must not find yourself living in bondage to poverty, sickness, disease or death, because you are a new creation. Jesus dealt with sin which is the root of sickness, poverty and disease when he died on the cross to set you free. And the Bible affirms that He who the Son has set free is free indeed! (John 8:36). You must remain in that liberty for sin shall not have dominion over you. It is indeed a life of total freedom!
You don’t need to run around seeking deliverance from sin or from the devil, for were delivered already when you received salvation. You must never allow yourself be entangled by any yoke of bondage. Take advantage of your complete liberty in Christ Jesus and stay in it!

The New Creation Reality

It is amazing that even today a lot of Christians don’t understand what Christianity really is. Some think to be born again means to change your ways. Others think being born again is making good New Year resolutions. Irrespective of what you may think, the Word of God still remains the same on the topic.

There is a difference between the ‘you’ before and the ‘you’ after you receive Christ. The person before had the nature of the devil, therefore he sinned at will. But that person is dead! Right now you are a brand new person. The new creation has no past. When you know who you really are in Christ, such statements as, “when I used to do this or that…” or “when I was…” will completely leave your vocabulary because it was never you.

The new creation is like a new baby; he has no past, because old things are passed away, and all things have become new. As far as God is concerned, you never existed before; your past has been buried in the grave from which Jesus arose victorious. Isn’t it exciting to know that you have a new beginning in life? Your past failures and disappointments don’t matter anymore. You can now chart your course for victory and success in the Word of God. Acquaint yourself with your new nature today by studying the Scriptures.

The Biggest Thing in Christianity.

on Jul 04 in Uncategorized tagged by pcadmin

The biggest truth in life is that which made it possible for us to receive the life of Christ. That truth is what separates Christianity from religion, and embracing this truth, is not enough for a man to be born again.

The biggest thing in Christianity is not that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, even though that qualified Him to be the savior of the world. However, if God didn’t raise Him from the dead, there wouldn’t have been salvation. The Bible records that Jesus was delivered for our offenses, and raised for our justification. When He died, we died in Him, when He was raised from the dead, we were raised together with Him from the dead, unto a new life (Ephesians 2:6).

If Jesus was not raised from the dead, then we are not justified and that means we are still in sin. But thank God that He arose from the dead! The Bible says, “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9). If you don’t believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, you cannot be saved, for it is one of the requirements for salvation.

Take some time out today to meditate on the resurrection of Jesus and what it means to you. The resurrection of Jesus our Lord and Christianity remains the bedrock of Christianity. You are born again, with a new life, because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the biggest thing in Christianity because without it, there is no salvation.

The Bible Way of Salvation

on May 17 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

The acknowledgment and confession of the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the God-ordained way to receive salvation. There are many who believe that for a sinner to be saved, he must confess all his sins before God; that is not true. You don’t receive salvation by confessing your sins.
The Bible doesn’t say “if thou shall confess with
thy mouth all your sins, then thou shall be saved”. Rather it says; “If thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…”; this is the simple way to salvation.

When you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that God raised him from the dead, you are made right with God. But to enjoy the full benefits of salvation, you must confess; that is, affirm with your mouth, the Lordship of Jesus.
Believing in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died for you is not enough. According to the Bible, even the devils believe and tremble, but they are not saved
(James 2:9).

The confession of the Lordship of Christ is what catapults you to salvation.
If you have not been saved, go ahead and accept the Lord now simply by believing in your heart that Jesus is the Christ; that He died for you and God raised Him from the dead for your justification. And then go ahead and declare that He is Lord of your life. That’s the Bible way of salvation.

You have been saved ONCE!

on May 03 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

Sin consciousness is the devil’s strategy to make people feel unworthy before God. He makes them focus more attention on their wrong doing, than on the grace of God that has been made available to them. Some people after confessing the Lordship of Jesus still feel they are not saved. They carry the guilt and burden with them around every day because they did some wrong things. This could get really frustrating as they keep trying to get saved over and over again.
The day you got born again, you were born as righteous as God Himself. You don’t become more righteous as you grow spiritually, just as the baby doesn’t become more human as he grows. Your actions maybe imperfect, but as far as God is concerned, you are as righteous as He is, because His nature of righteousness has been imparted into your spirit.

The Meekness of Salvation

on Oct 24 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

Receiving salvation is so simple, and this is why some people misunderstand it. The Bible says if you confess with your mouth the Lordship of Jesus, and believe with your heart, that God has raised him from the dead, you are saved. The Scripture didn’t say that you confess all your sins; nor does it say, if you cry and ask God to save you, then you shall be saved.
It is by declaration of words that man is saved, not by his tears or good works.

The Bible tells us about a certain centurion by name Cornelius. He was a devout and generous man; he was a good man, but he was not saved. One day, an angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Send men to Joppa and call for Simon whose surname is Peter; who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and thy family shall be saved” (Acts 11:13-14). The angel didn’t say, Cornelius, your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds so salvation is yours”. In spite of all his good works and alms giving, it took words, which Peter had to speak to him, for him to receive salvation.

Receiving salvation is that easy. Once you believe in Jesus with your heart, and you confess his Lordship, your life is backdated to Calvary, and in that split second you experience the power of salvation, making you a child of God.

Share this truth with those you meet today; tell them they don’t have to try to atone for their sins, or impress God with their works. All they need to experience salvation is to believe in their hearts, and declare Jesus as Lord of their lives.
