Question 8 – Chuks (Nigeria): Pastor, does the bible permit a man to marry a woman older than him on the basis of love? Please, I want to know.
Answer 8: The Bible doesn’t give any age as to who marries who [and] how old you are to marry who the other person is. It doesn’t say so; it doesn’t say that the man should be older than the woman. But, the trouble is when you understand that the wife would be subject to the husband, then you make up your own mind as to how old you would like to be to be subject to a man, for example if a man is 25 and you are 45. That will help you understand better.
