“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).
The Scripture above proves that each one of God’s children could and should live in abundance every day of their lives. While some would read this Scripture with excitement at the thought of being able to give and ready to do what it says, others read it and become sad thinking, “but I don’t have anything to give.” Refuse to be ignorant. Never say you have nothing to give!
The Lord Jesus wasn’t specific on what to give according to the above Scripture. He simply instructed us to give! You think you have nothing to give when you are thinking in one direction only, but how about love? What about help? Irrespective of how low you may be in life, you must always have something to give. If you want men to give to you, you must learn to give.
God’s Word has the potency to produce what it talks about. So when you give as the Lord Jesus instructed above, the power will come upon others, causing them to do for you as the Word of God had said. Remember the Word says in Isaiah 55:11, “…my Word…that goeth forth out of my mouth…shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it.” It is impossible for God’s Word to fail. Do what the Word says and your life will produce Word-based results.
