22nd February Yooks Blog:Receive Answers to Your Prayers

Hello everyone. The Lord says in Isaiah 45:19 "I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right". Notice "... I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain". Our prayers are not in vain. He taught that "men ought always to pray and not to give up (Luke 18:1). He asked us to pray because he planned to answer our prayers.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you (John 15:16).

The Old Testament folks always had to resort to the prophets and seers to inquire of the Lord. It wasn’t a common revelation amongst the people to talk directly to God in prayer and expect to receive an answer from Him.

However, when Jesus came, He made it clear that it was the Father’s desire for us to boldly and confidently talk directly to Him in prayer and receive answers: “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-24)

The “day” that Jesus spoke of is not a twenty-four hour day, but a dispensation, a season, a set time in which you will make requests and receive answers to your prayers. Thanks be unto God, this is that set time! We’ve come into that “day” that Jesus was referring to. If you’re born again, you have the privilege of being able to pray and receive the answers to your prayers instantly: “…What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them” (Mark 11:24)

There’s no need to look for someone to pray to God for you; there’s no need to cry and keep reminding God of your troubles: just ask in faith and in the Name of Jesus, and your requests will be granted.

Always remember that it’s the Father’s delight to answer your prayers; it’s His good pleasure to give you the wonderful treasures of His Kingdom (Luke 12:32). Therefore, never doubt his willingness to answer you speedily when you pray. The Bible lets us know that He has ordained us to receive answers to our prayers (John 15:16).This is the set time for your joy to be full. So go ahead and make your request known to the Father, and He’ll grant you the desires of your heart.

Feb 20th Yooks: You are far above Principalities

Hello everyone. Jesus said in Mathew 18:18: "Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven"; Moreover, He said: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils. . . " (Mar 16:17). Thus he gave us the legal authority to use His name against demoniacal forces and their evil works.

As we pray in 15min sessions at 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1), we'll exercise this power and demand that these fiendish and vexatious characters desist from their operations and manipulations in such areas in which we choose to restrain their nefarious activities, and they'll obey us according to the Word. God bless you.

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”  Colossians 2:15
Paul’s letter to the Church at Ephesus in the sixth chapter of the book of Ephesians lets us in on the possibility of a structure of the devil and his demons. So he talks about the different orders and principalities:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).

So there are principalities, powers and rulers of the darkness of this world.

Also, Paul refers to the highest cadre as wicked spirits in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12 AMP). These set up their thrones and operate in the heavenly places; they control large dominions, rule over nations and regions. They also control the affairs of men who yield themselves to the devil. But as you study Ephesians 2:6, you observe that you’ve been raised together with, and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. You’re seated with Christ, far above all principality and power and every organization of the adversary. That means you’re superior to even the highest ranking demons!

Realize that you occupy the place of authority in Christ, far above satan and everything that’s connected to him. Satan is a defeated foe, who’s been stripped of all power, influence and dominion. So, it doesn’t matter if he assigns himself or his demons to monitor your activities and try to ruin things for you, they’ve been programmed to fail! In Christ, you defeated satan and all his demons and overcame all the manipulative and evil structures of the world set up by him. Colossians 2:15 (MSG) describes the current dismal and completely powerless state of satan and his cohorts after what Jesus did to them: He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.”

So for you as a child of God, the devil and his demons don’t count, so never be afraid of them. Not only has Jesus given you power and authority to cast out devils (Mark 16:17), He also made you superior to satan and his demons. So you shouldn’t have a care in the world about satan and his evil structure and activities in the earth, for you are seated with Christ in the place of power, “far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come” (Ephesians 1:21).

FEBUARY 17TH YOOKS BLOG: You Are A Watchman

Hello everyone. Today's article in the February Rhapsody of Realities reminds us of the needs of the hurting world around us. As Paul the apostle so succinctly put it: "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8). Oh What a gospel of liberation, righteousness, purpose, divine fellowship, healing, health, heavenly citizenship and endless possibilities!

As we pray in the spirit at 12noon (GMT+1), we'll also pray for those in our inner cities and the hinterlands of our various countries: that they may embrace the gospel of Christ that we present to them, that these blessings may be theirs too. God bless you.

But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand. So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me (Ezekiel 33: 6-7).

This scripture was God’s message to Ezekiel concerning the Israelites, but it also applies to every Christian today. The Lord has appointed us watchmen over our world, and it’s our responsibility to take His message of salvation to every man, woman, boy and girl in our immediate sphere of contact. He wants us to tell others about His love, grace and mercy.

This is the same commission we received from the Lord Jesus in Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”  2 Peter 3: 9 says that the Lord “… is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9) He gave us this charge because He doesn’t wish for any sinner to go to hell. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, God already made salvation available to all mankind. But then, He has given us the special privilege of propagating the glorious news of Christ’s salvation to the ends of the earth.

God has committed to you the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5: 18). That means you’ve been appointed as a watchman. The Bible however explains that if you don’t take the Gospel to the sinners in your sphere of contact and they die in their iniquities, God will hold you responsible. But if you preach the gospel to them and they refuse to believe, then they’ll suffer the penalty for their sins, you’ll be free.

2 Corinthians 3: 6 says, “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament….” Thus, it’s not a question of whether or not you’re able, for He has made you an able minster of the New Testament! All you need is to be willing.

Get vitally involved in telling others about Jesus. Reach out to those in your sphere of contact with the gospel, and be committed to sponsoring the work of soul-winning through your giving. So that at the end, you can boldly declare as Paul did “Wherefore I take you to record this day that I am pure from the blood of all men”. (Acts 20:26)

FEBUARY 15TH YOOKS: BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE GOSPEL

1John 5:4 declares: "...whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. As we pray at 12noon (GMT+1), we'll proclaim victory over all circumstances and issues that confront us. We are aeonian overcomers hallelujah! We shall pray fervently for a greater impact of the gospel on the youths around the world; and for the gospel to have free course in North Korea. God bless you.

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea woe unto me if I preach not the gospel! (1 Corinthians 9:16)

Every child of God ought to bear the same testimony about the Gospel as Paul in the Scripture above. You ought to be compelled by God’s love and by the cross to preach the Gospel, for necessity is laid upon you to do so. When I think about what God did for me at the Cross of Calvary, I cannot but preach the Gospel.  There’s a depth in God that no man will ever know until he starts winning souls for Jesus.

Wealth, fame reputation and all the world’s symbols of success are meaningless compared to the depth of satisfaction, true joy, and fulfillment you’ll derive from making your life count for the Gospel. Besides giving financially for the spread of the Gospel around the world, you ought to personally seek avenues to preach the Gospel to those in your sphere of contact.

Be motivated to go all out and do all it takes for the Gospel to spread around the world and prevail in the hearts of men. Intercede for the spread of the Gospel in the earth. Necessity is laid upon every one of us- believers – to do this. It’s our Gospel ministry: “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and had committed unto us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19)

Be concerned about the Gospel; and let your motivation for the Gospel drive you to your knees to pray for those who are yet to give their hearts to Christ. If someone lives his whole life only to be famous, wealthy and recognized by men, without the Gospel of Jesus Christ being uppermost in his heart; such a fellow has lived an empty life.

Realize that your primary work on earth is to fulfill God’s word in Matthew 28: 19-20: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen”

Let us pray!

FEB 10TH YOOKS BLOG: WORSHIP THE LORD

With the shout of faith, the walls of Jericho fell down flat. Songs of praise from Paul and Silas resulted in a divinely orchestrated earthquake that saw to the freedom of God's obnoxiously imprisoned champions. As we pray today at 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1) we'll praise the Lord from our hearts in the beauty of holiness and see a divine combustion into glory extraordinaire: Oh what victories await our faith! Blessed be the Lord! Hallelujah.

“Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly” (Jonah 2:1)

A young lady had been sick for several years and had been given up to die. In that state, sick and in pains, she was carried to a crusade. During the time of worship, she joined in and had a wonderful time, ignoring her pains. She looked away from her pains and sicknesses unto God. Suddenly, she noticed her hands that hadn’t moved for years were lifted up. Then it dawned on her that she had been healed of her disease. Overwhelmed with joy, she gave her testimony in tears.

If you desire a miracle in your situation, then you have to take your attention away from the challenge you’re facing and worship the Lord. The Bible says Jonah prayed to the Lord out of the fish’s belly (Jonah 2:1). Right in the midst of trouble, Jonah prayed unto the Lord. He forgot about his situation and prayed. When you study the content of his prayer you’ll discover it was all of worship and thanksgiving (Jonah 2:9). As he worshipped the Lord from the fish’s belly, “the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land’’ (Jonah 2:10)

Solutions come when you worship the Lord in the midst of your trouble. The Lord Jesus didn’t respond to the woman whose daughter was vexed with an evil spirit until she worshipped him (Matthew 15: 22-28)

Someone has rightly said, “Those who look at the sun don’t see the shadows.” How true! So learn to subdue your pains, disease or financial conditions and worship the Lord instead. Love Him with all your heart, for He’s good and real, more real than whatever situation you’re going through.

Feb 6th Yooks: Praise Him!

Hello everyone. What a month of February we have! The overcomer's month! At 12noon (GMT+1) we'll pray fervidly in the spirit, speaking and singing in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and magnifying God: for great is the Lord in the midst and lives of his people; and there shall be a blast of miracles and harvests of answered prayers. Hallelujah! God bless you.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness (Psalm48:1)

Our God is great and greatly to be praised. He delights in our praises. As new creations we’re those He has sanctified and separated unto Himself to worship Him. “For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh” (Philippians 3: 3). Irrespective of the circumstances around us; whether or not we feel like it, the praise of God is continually in our mouths.

How important it is for you to learn to praise the Lord in spite of adversity. When you sing the Lord’s praise, His glory is revealed, not only in your life, but also to your environment (Judges 5: 1-7). In Chronicles 20: 1-22 for example, the nation of Judah had been surrounded by the armies of three nations, determined to destroy them and take over their land. But Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, was a wise king. He called together all the people of Judah and proclaimed a fast.

As they fasted and prayed, the Lord gave them the strategy for battle. On the day of battle, Jehoshaphat put singers in front of the army. The Bible records that “ … when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushments against the children of Amman, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten” (2Chrinicles 20:22). Through the power of praise, they discomfited their adversary.

Consider also the inspiring account of Paul and Silas chronicled for us in Acts 16. They had been imprisoned for preaching the Gospel and had their hands and feet bound in stocks Then at midnight; at that dark and lonely moment of their lives, they began to sing praises to God: “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened and every one’s bands were loosed” (Acts 16:25-26).

It doesn’t matter what challenging situation you might be facing right now, praise the Lord anyhow! Glorify Him from the depths of your heart and His power will be activated on your behalf. You might have been praying about a specific condition, it is now time for you to praise Him. Do it lavishly, for He deserves it, and as you do, you’ll see His power move on you like never before.

FEB 3RD YOOKS BLOG: PRAY MORE IN THE SPIRIT

Hello everyone. Ephesians 6:18 (AMPV) instructs: Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).

At 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1) we'll pray in tongues for all 15min in both sessions. The Lord is about to do a new thing in your life. During this weekend beginning today, get and read our book titled PROPHECY by Chris Oyakhilome Phd, fromhttp://Christembassyonlinestore.org or http://Amazon.com . You can easily download the book to your phone or mobile device or your computer, or get a paperback version from local bookstores. I'm reading this book presently and the Lord has ministered so much to me. Get your's now and read it. God bless you.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also (1 Corinthians 14: 14-15).

In 1 Corinthians 14: 14-15), we find the Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul juxtaposing for us two kinds of prayer: “praying with the understanding.” However, His call to us is that we pray more with the Spirit. That’s why Paul said I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also” letting us know that praying with the spirit takes preeminence over praying with the understanding.

When you pray with the spirit, your understanding is unfruitful, meaning your mind doesn’t get what you’re saying, because it’s coming from your spirit. But when you pray with the “understanding”, you’re praying in a language you understand, through your mind. The proper order and priority in our prayer s revealed in scripture is to ‘pray with the spirit,” and then pray with the understanding also. “praying with understanding” is the also part of the equation. So you ought to pray more with the spirit, by speaking in other tongues.

If you have it in the reverse order, you’ll be shortchanging yourself. Sadly some Christians start out by praying in their understanding and interject the prayer with a little praying in the spirit. That is not the right order! The Spirit’s admonition is for you to pray more in other tongues than in your understanding. When you pray in this manner, your life will be dominated by the Spirit and not the senses. Your responses to situations will always be from the standpoint of the Spirit.

So, make it a conscious practice to pray more in other tongues. Let praying in the spirit take the most part of your prayer time. Remember, the Bible says we don’t even know how best to pray concerning anything due to the limitation of our minds (Romans 8: 26); but through praying in the spirit, you’re praying the will of God.

FEBRUARY 1ST YOOKS BLOG: PRAY FOR GOD’S PEOPLE

Hello everyone. The month of February has just begun in our year of the Word. We'll begin in prayer at 12noon (GMT+1), specially praying for justice for God's people in various nations of the world where rights are being denied and many are involved in litigations. Pray fervently in the spirit. God Bless you.

… but prayer was made without ceasing of the Church unto God for him (Acts 12: 5)

John Wesley, a great man of God once said, “it appears that God will do nothing except we ask Him.” it’s no wonder that he was credited to have, through prayer, effected remarkable changes in his day, both in his own life and ministry and in the society at large.

In Luke 18:1, Jesus taught that men ought always to pray and not to faint. It’s our priestly ministry as believers to pray for our brothers and sisters all over the world. Get concerned about what happens to Christians in your nation and around the world, and let your concern drive you to your knees in prayer.

If every Christian would pray with this consciousness, there will be a great change throughout the world. Also, Paul said …”that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith” (2Thesselonians3:2) The Greek word translated “delivered” is rhuomai”; it alludes to a current or a flood. By implication, he’s saying that God will rush to deliver- get His people out of the clutches of wicked and unreasonable men, who are against the preaching of the gospel.

In today’s YOOKS, Pastor has given us clear direction on the way our prayers should be directed today. Don’t break the chain, Click here to join the Pastor Chris Live prayer network.

Jan 23rd Yooks Blog: Pray Without Distractions

Hello everyone. The Word says: "...The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]". As we pray fervently in the Holy Ghost at 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1), speaking and singing in tongues, we'll make tremendous power available to effect changes in the spirit realm to our advantage; For the Lord shall put words in your mouth and you shall prophesy. God bless you.

…and Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth and put his face between the knees (1Kings 18:42)

One of the reasons some Christians don’t experience the manifestation of God’s glory in their lives as they should is that they often treat their time of fellowship with Lord casually. Their minds being full of distractions are unable to concentrate and hear what God has to say! In James 5: 16, the Bible says “The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working)” (James 5: 16AMP). The prayer that produces result is earnest and heartfelt, devoid of external influences or distractions.

Prayer isn’t a time of religious monologue, where you just talk and talk, until your mind wanders away. It’s a time of fellowship where our spirit mingles with the Holy Spirit, so much that your very being is in sync with His laid our plan for your life.

At a particular time, the prophet Isaiah spoke God’s mind to King Hezekiah that he should put his house in order because he was going to die. This prophecy of course came to the King with a note of finality, but the Bible says King Hezekiah “…turned his face to the wall and prayed unto the Lord…” (2Kings 20:2) Turning his face to the wall signifies shutting out all distractions because he wanted to alter the course of events.

If you want to see the demonstration of the power of the Spirit in your life, you’ve got to learn to shut yourself away from the world-away from all distractions and set your mind on the Lord in fellowship. Focus all your strength and energies on the Lord in prayer. This kind of prayer is what makes tremendous power available.

JANUARY 20TH Yooks: Intercession: Your Divine Responsibility

Hello everyone. Isn't it wonderful, we serve a living God who gave us the right, ability and authority to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light, and to pray unto Him and be heard? Glorious truths! Blessed be His name.

For 15min at 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1), we'll intercede for the Saints of God around the world, and specially pray for those facing hardship and persecutions in various nations; that they be strengthened with might by the Holy Ghost in the inner man, and their faith be perfected in the Lord. Pray very much in the spirit. God bless you.

In Luke 13: 1-5, some people came to Jesus to ask Him about the death of some Galileans who Pilate had killed while they were at worship, mixing their blood with the blood of the sacrifices on the altar. In his response, the Master referred to another event- the tower of Siloam which collapsed and killed eighteen people. Jesus ascribed their misfortune to sin, and cautioned those He was addressing that except the repent, they would all likewise perish.

Now, such acts of judgment could sometimes be visited upon a nation or a people, especially if the Christians in that nation are not fulfilling their priestly ministry of intercession. It’s our responsibility as Christians in the regions and nations where we live to put a halt to evil works masterminded by satan and quell the terror he unleashes upon nations. When we pray for our countries, there are increased activities of righteousness the presence of God mantles men’s hearts and God’s Word prevails in their lives.

Many countries today are groaning with the pangs of violence, war and disasters such as earthquakes, tornadoes, tsunamis etc. The analogy of the Master in Luke 13: 1- 5 shows that these catastrophes don’t happen in a nation because the people domiciled therein are the worst sinners. By interceding for our nations we can haul back the forces of darkness in our lands. It’s our responsibility to do this.

We all need to realize that as Christians, we’re the custodians of our environment; we’re called of God to preserve our nation and the inhabitants through prayers.

In Matthew 5: 13, Jesus said, “ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted?...” Jeremiah 29: 7 says “And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captive and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall you have peace.”

You’re responsible to God and to the country where you live to seek its peace and pray to the Lord for it. So it doesn’t matter where you are, or what you do, this is a call to you as an individual to intercede for the progress, peace, prosperity and preservation of you nation

JANUARY 13TH YOOKS BLOG: BE CONCERNED ENOUGH TO PRAY PART 2

Hello everyone. The Word enjoins us to pray for leaders of nations. In 1Timothy 2:1-4, Paul the Apostle said: "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth". Thus at 12noon (GMT+1) for 15min, we'll pray for leaders of nations according to these scriptures. God bless you

As a Christian, you should be concerned about the affairs and wellbeing of the nation you live in. This concern ought to inspire you to pray for the nation. And to pray accurately, there’re basic things you need to understand. First is that the nation in which you live and function is a vehicle, and you’re in the vehicle as a passenger.

Think about a ship, and you’re on board that ship, journeying somewhere. If the captain gets confused and announces that the ship had lost its bearing, everyone on board would be in trouble. This is because they all trusted the captain to steer the sip in the right destination. That ship can be likened to the nation where you live; the captain and crew members are your leaders and the government. It’s your responsibility therefore to pray that the leaders of your country are yielded to God’s Spirit to guide them aright to steer the nation in the direction of His will and purpose.

Little wonder the Spirit’s admonition in 1 Timothy 2:1-3, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.”

God’s desire is for all men to be saved; He wants His righteousness to rule men’s hearts and guide their thinking. This is the reason we must intercede for their hearts to be opened and receptive to the message of the Gospel.

Many in our country today complain about corruption, religious intolerance and other endemic vices in the society. But the only way the perpetration and impact of corruption and other vices can wane in any nation is when Christians rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility of prayer and preaching of the Gospel. You must pray that the Word of God will have free course, be glorified and have prevailing power in the lives of the leaders and citizens of your country.

Remember, whatever happens in your country affects you directly or indirectly, so don’t put the fate of the country in the hands of others. Bear the responsibility as well. Set some time to pray for your country, and do this as often as possible.

Let us pray.

Jan 11th Yooks Blog: Be Concerned Enough to Pray

Hello everyone. Paul the Apostle instructed us by the Spirit in 2Thessalonians 3.1: "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the Word of the Lord may have free course [spread rapidly and unhindered], and be glorified, even as it is with you".

At 12noon and 10pm (GMT+1) we'll pray for the spread of the gospel and for peace in the many nations of the world plagued with unrest and terror. Pray fervidly in the spirit. God bless you.

John Wesley, a great man of God, once said, “It appears that God will do nothing except we ask Him.” It’s no wonder that he was credited to have, through prayer, effected remarkable changes in his day, both in his own life and ministry and in the society at large.

In Luke 18:1, Jesus taught that men ought always to pray and not to faint. It’s our priestly ministry as believers to pray for our brothers and sisters all over the world; that through them, God’s Word will be preached in the nooks and crannies of their nations.

Paul in his epistles, admonished believers to pray for  his missionary work: “Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” (Colossians 4:3). This lets us know that we also must pray that the Holy Spirit will grant the saints all over the world utterance and opportunities to preach the gospel where they are.

In the scripture we read, Paul highlighted two important points: utterance and opportunities. You might have the utterance and not have the opportunity to preach the gospel, and vice versa; this is the reason we must intercede as admonished by the Spirit though Paul in Colossians 4:3.

If every Christian would pray with this consciousness, there will be a great change throughout the world. Also, Paul said, “…that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith” (2Thessalonians 3: 2). The Greek word translated “delivered” is “rhuomai”; it alludes to the rushing of a current or a flood. By implication, he is saying that God will rush to deliver i.e. get His people out of the clutches of wicked and unreasonable men, who are against the preaching of the gospel.

Get concerned about what happens to Christians in your nation and around the world, and let your concern drive you to your knees to pray.

January 9th Yooks Blog: Educate your Spirit with the Word.

Hello everyone. The Word declares in Psalm 23.3: "....He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake". As we pray in the spirit at 12noon (GMT+1) for 15min, the Spirit will guide you through the Word and lead you in His chosen path to bring you into that which He's prepared for you. Praise the Lord!

The most successful people in the world do very little thinking yet achieve so much. This may come to you as a surprise but it is the truth. They have learnt to look to their spirits for answers. To be very successful you have to train your spirit. As a new creation in Christ Jesus, your spirit can be an accurate guide because that is where the light of God is: “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly” (Proverbs 20:27).

Your spirit can receive light from God; ideas and thoughts that’ll make you creative and excellent in all you do, such that you’ll hardly find yourself in trial-and error situations. But for your spirit to be an accurate guide, you have to educate him. This kind of education is different from what you get from school. School education only helps to get your mind enlightened, but it won’t suffice for you to be the best in life. That’s because the highest potential of the human nature isn’t in the mind but in the spirit.

So begin the exercise of educating your spirit with the Word. Do this by studying and meditating on the Word consistently. Spend quality time to listen to God’s Word regularly! That way, you develop your spirit for success and excellence. God’s plan is for you to have your spirit educated so He can relate with you at a high level.

January 4th Yooks: Pray Earnest, Heartfelt, Continued, and Fervent Prayers.

Hello everyone. Jesus said in John 5:24: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life". Isn't it wonderful that we heard His word, believed and received and have everlasting life; and are passed from death unto life? Oh! Glorious gospel! Blessed be the Lord for His marvelous grace.

At 12noon (GMT+1) we'll pray fervidly in tongues, magnifying the Lord in our hearts, and also specially pray for children against drowning and other accidents. God bless you.

Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months (James 5:17)

When you study how Elijah prayed ‘earnestly’ that rain should not fall and God answered his prayer. He also prayed the same way to reverse the situation. The Bible tells us he was subject to like passions as we are. In other words, he had the same pressures, temptations and was subject to the same conditions of life that we have today, but when he prayed, he did in an earnest, heartfelt manner. So don’t think for a moment that Elijah just came out one day and said, “Lord, let there be no rain,” and walked away.

Earnest prayer is heartfelt, continued, fervent, and with deep convictions. In other words, it is prayer that touches your soul and your emotions. This is the kind of prayer Jesus talked about in Matthew 6:6; “… when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy father which is in secret. And thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. “You cannot pray this kind of prayer at your dinner table and you may not want to do it where there are people, because you can’t afford to have you mind wandering if you want to pray this way.

This kind of prayer is serious business. It is more than saying, “Lord, bless all the Christians all over the world; bless my family and bless me in Jesus Name, “and then you’re off to work or to bed! No, your emotions have to get involved in it. Apart from this, it has to be fervent sustained and continued over a period of time

Earnest prayer, which is founded on God’s word, is the kind of prayer that changes hopeless situations. When you engage in this kind of prayer, you don’t give up. You continue to pray until you achieve your desired result. If you will ever change things in your life and in the lives of others, then you must learn to pray earnestly. My prayer for you is that God would make you a man or woman of earnest prayer, in Jesus Name. Amen.

This afternoon, we are praying fervidly in other tongues, and our focus is on Children all around the world, we will lift our voices and pray against drowning and any form of accidents and as we pray, we are assured that we have caused tremendous changes.

Let us pray.

December 21st Yooks Blog: Prevailing Power of Praise

Psalms 47:6-7 says: Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

At 12noon (GMT+1) we'll praise and worship the Lord for most of 15min and pray for all those who are travelling for the holidays this festive season. Pray against fire accidents and arsons: the Lord deliver His people from trouble. Amen. God bless you.

In quoting part of a Psalm of David, Jesus said in Matthew 21:16 “have you never read, out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?” But the Psalmist actually said “out of the mouth of babes thou has ordained strength”. In other words, Jesus connects praise with strength. There’s such an awesome power that’s released when you begin to praise God. If you want to continuously see the power and glory of God in your life, you must learn to praise God lavishly.

I’m not just talking about praising him when everything is going smoothly with your job, family, business, ministry, academics or finances. I’m talking about maintaining a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving unto God, irrespective and independent of circumstances. Such praise creates a force-field of God’s power in and around you, causing circumstances, devils, sicknesses, diseases and everything that’s not consistent with the will of God to be completely repelled from your life.

The Bible says, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). That’s what the Psalmists is saying. Strength there refers to power; and that power is what stills the enemy and the avenger. When you praise God by openly declaring His majesty, the works of the enemy are completely exterminated from your life. One of the Hebrew synonyms for the phrase “still the enemy” as used in Psalm 8:2 is “do destroy the enemy” or “to paralyze the enemy.”

This means that the praise of God that proceeds out of your mouth is a death-blow to the enemy. Never allow the praise of God depart from you lips. It creates a force-field of God’s power that repels the enemy.
