Divine Therapy

The Word is God’s number one therapeutic. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:20-22, “my son attend to my Words; incline thine ear unto my sayings… for they are life unto those that find them and health to all their flesh”.

The word translated health, is from the Hebrew word that means something with curative ability, like medicine. Notice it says “my son attend to my words”; in other words, “present yourself to the Word”. You do this by stepping away from other things and giving attention to the Word.

No matter what your physical condition has been like, if you would pay attention to the Word of God, it will become medicine to your body, curing sickness. It’ll also act as a prophylactic; you’ll become literally “sickness resistant”. Meditating on the Word of God releases its curative ability in you. I have seen people who have had wounds that just wouldn’t heal, no matter what medication they tried. If only they would meditate on the Word of God, it will go into their bodies as medicine and cure that wound. God’s Word will get right into your bones and bone marrow! How will the cancer stay when the Word is in your bone marrow? It’s not possible!

You’ve got to stock the Word of God in your system. Paul said, “Let the Word of God dwell in you richly” (Colossians 3:16); no wonder when a snake bit him, its venom had no impact on him! He just shook it into the fire and went on preaching, because there was a divine therapeutic at work in him (Acts 28:3-6).

Have you been suffering from cancer? Go and meditate on the Word. Is it a wound that is not healing? I recommend the same treatment. God’s Word has the curative power to deal with your bones and your flesh, if you would meditate on it.

Your Rights in Christ

The Christian life is not an ordinary life. It is a supernatural life for supernatural men. As Christians, we must live with the consciousness of who we are in Christ. You have to leave the realm of the ordinary and come to the realm of the supernatural where you take control of the affairs of your life.

We are citizens of Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem; this is the city of the living God. As a citizen of this city you have undeniable rights; the right to live, the right to choose and the right to receive God’s blessings in Christ. It’s also important that I remind you that we have an adversary (the devil) whose mandate is to stop you from enjoying and exercising your God-given rights in Christ Jesus. If you don’t know your rights in Christ, you’ll be at his mercy, and that’s a dangerous way for you to live as a Christian.

Start today by digging into God’s Word and searching the Scriptures for yourself. Discover your rights and privileges in Christ- what He has said you can do and have, and then begin to appropriate them in your life.

The Healing Power Of the Word

God’s Word is therapeutic, curative and has regenerative ability – it’s medicine for your body.

The Word brings healing and soundness, and that’s why as a Christian, it is important to give yourself wholly to the Word. Each time you put the Word of God in you, it produces life and health in you, thereby destroying sickness and making you immune.

Give the Word undivided attention; be a doer of the Word, because the you only experience the blessings on the Word of God that is acted on.

I recall an inspiring testimony of a brother who was diagnosed with cancer. Rather than being discouraged, he locked himself away for a month, listening to our messages over and over again. By the time he went for his next appointment with the doctors, they couldn’t find a single trace of cancer. All the while, he digested the Word, there was a curative process going on.

The Word of God completely eradicated the cancer. What kind of challenge are you facing in your physical body today? God’s Word is the medicine you need. If you take in God’s Word as diligently as you would take the doctor’s prescription, not only would the Word destroy every trace of sickness, it will give you divine immunity against sickness, disease and infirmity.

Keep meditating on the Word of God; you may not “feel” as though anything is happening as you do, but know for sure that health and healing are being perfected in your physical body.

The Disease- Destroying Life

To be born again is to receive the life and nature of God into your spirit, and sickness is not a part of this new life in Christ. No matter what your life’s experience has been, I want you to know that there’s a new life in Christ that is not subject to disease. The Bible says, “If Christ be in you, though your body be dead because of sin; the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:10). This means that the Holy Spirit gives life to your physical body because of righteousness, which is your new nature.

The reason a lot of people are not living at this level is that they are ignorant, and they place their personal experiences above the Word of God. As you grow in the Word, you come to realize that it doesn’t matter what the doctor’s report says, you are living a life above sickness. For example, you may have been told that you suffer from sickle cell anemia and you are thinking, “I was born this way, how is my genotype going to change”? Well, it doesn’t matter that ywee yore born that way, when you get ahold of this truth, the anointing will surge through your being and give you a new genotype.

There’s no sickle cell, leukaemia, typhoid or any other disease that can remain in your body, because you have the life of God in you, and live by a different set of rules.
