The Word of God has the ability to impact not only your spirit and your mind, but also your physical body. In Hebrews 4:12, the Bible says God’s Word reaches right into your soul and spirit, and your joints and bone marrow. That means as you take the Word into you, it goes into your mind, and impacts every fiber of your being.
God’s Word works in your spirit the same way physical food works in your body. Just as the food you eat is broken down and absorbed until it becomes part of you, so also the Word of God that you receive into your spirit, becomes in you what it says.
The Bible says, “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all” (1 timothy 4:15). What are you supposed to meditate on? God’s Word!
As you allow the Word of God dominate you, sickness, failure, and everything that comes from the devil will not find place in your life. You’ll live victoriously every day!Healing tagged by admin
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19)
As a child of God, your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19), which means your body isn’t yours; it’s owned by God. However, you’re the one who has charge over your body, to keep it in health. You’re to exercise authority over it, keeping it free of sickness, disease and infirmity.
The Lord Jesus’ Words in our opening verse should let you know that you’re not ordinary. Also, He said in Mark 11:23, that you shall have what you say. This means, you have the right to tell your body how it should feel, and it’ll respond. If you’ve been struggling with an addiction, declare with boldness, “I’m not going to let anything dominate me. I keep my body in subjection to the Word of God!” Don’t permit in your body anything that’s not consistent with God’s provision of health, as shown to us in the Word; take charge and rule over your body with the Word of God.
When you perceive symptoms of sickness in your body, reject them, for they only become real when you say they are. Your words aren’t empty; what you say comes to pass; therefore, talk to your body always, and keep it in health.Healing tagged by admin
“And these signs shall follow them that believe…” (Mark 16:17)
The Christian is a special breed; he belongs to God’s class of being. He’s a partaker of the divine nature; that means, an associate of the God-kind. This is why we say that a Christian ought not to be sick–it’s premised on this reality.
You’re born of God’s incorruptible seed—His Word (1 Peter 1:23); therefore, the life in you can’t be corrupted by sickness, disease or death.
However, in spite of this truth, there’re still some who believe it’s normal for a Christian to be sick; but that’s completely at variance with what the Word teaches. In Mark 16:17-18, the Lord Jesus said concerning the Christian, “And these signs shall follow them that believe…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Remarkable!
This means, you’re amongst those that can’t be “infected” by anything! Jesus said so, and if He did, then it’s absolute reality. No infection should have power over you. It makes no difference if this hasn’t been your experience, the words of the Master hold true. Meditate on the Word until it becomes your mind-set and experience. He created you for glory, beauty, and excellence; therefore, refuse to accommodate anything that’s inconsistent with His nature in your life.Healing tagged by admin
“For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20)
Our physical bodies were entrusted to us by God. Although man is not a physical body, He is given one by God, and this body is required to function legally on the earth. 1 Corinthians 15:38 (AMP) says that God gives “…to each kind of seed a body of its own.” So the responsibility of taking care of your body is yours and not God’s.
This is why when sickness tries to fasten itself to your body, you should reject it. Don’t accommodate disease or infirmity in your body; cut them out with God’s Word. Tell your body what to do and it will do it; determine how it should feel! Don’t talk like the people of the world who say what they feel and see; rather, take charge of body; use your tongue to control every situation.
Say, “In the Name of Jesus, I refuse disease in my body”, and your words will come to pass. That’s what Jesus said to us in Mark 11:23; He said you shall have what you say. Keep your body in subjection to God’s Word, and refuse to give satan any foothold in it.Healing tagged by admin
“And if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).
As one who is born again, you’re Abraham’s seed, and therefore, all of God’s blessings belong to you (Galatians 3:29). But to effectively appropriate these blessings to your life, your words must align with the Word of God, and the realities of the new creation.
For example, when a Christian says “O Lord, heal me; I just caught the flu and I am so sick”; you can immediately locate him as a babe in the things of the Spirit. The spiritually mature would rather speak the wisdom of God. Rather than talk sickness, he’d speak health and life. He’d say “The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me therefore I cannot be sick; I’m vitalized by the power of God – spirit, soul and body!” There’s a clear difference.
The babe in Christ seeks to be healed; but the spiritually mature knows he cannot be sick, because he is the righteousness of God in Christ and therefore speaks accordingly. James 3:2 AMP says “For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.” Spiritual maturity is measured by your words; therefore, it’s important that you grow in the Word unto maturity, and learn to communicate rightly.Healing tagged by admin
“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1-2).
God has given us the authority in the Name of Jesus to issue decrees with daring audacity and have them established. That’s why we can speak and act in boldness because of who we are in Christ. For example, when you study the Scriptures, you’d realize that God never asked us to pray to Him to heal the sick; rather, He says we should to heal the sick.
In Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9, Jesus charged the disciples to heal the sick; He didn’t ask them to pray to Him or to the Father to heal the sick. In Mark 16:17-18 He said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Jesus made it clear that we have been given the authority in His Name to heal the sick.
Peter, addressing the lame man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful said, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). He was conscious of the authority he had and knew that though he couldn’t give the man money at that time, he could ‘give’ him healing in the Name of Jesus.
When you pray for the sick, make bold decrees! Command the devils responsible for the sickness to come out and that the sick be healed in the Name of Jesus.Healing tagged by admin
“Put into action the word I covenanted with you when you left Egypt. I’m living and breathing among you right now. Don’t be timid. Don’t hold back” (Haggai 2:5 MSG)
The Spirit of God wants us to think and function in consistency with the Word. He wants us to know it’s our responsibility to see to it that His Word comes to pass in our lives! The Word has already been given, Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”, and it will work and produce results for anyone who acts on it. So your responsibility as a Christian is to work the Word and bring it to pass in your life!
Isaiah 33:24 says, “And the inhabitant [of Zion] shall not say, I am sick…” And Hebrews 12:22 lets us know we dwell in Zion, ““But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God…” What have you done with these truths? For one to cry to God for healing, having come across these truths, means he’s ignorant! You’re the caretaker of your body and you ought to decide what happens to it. If anything goes wrong with it, then heal it with the Word. Make a change today with the Word!Healing tagged by admin
“And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24)
In the scripture above, the prophet Isaiah talks about a city and informs us that the inhabitants of that city shall not say, “I am sick.” He introduces us to a place of absolute health. In Hebrews 12:22, the Bible tells us that we have come into that city; it’s called Zion – the city of the living God. That means those of us who are born again have been born into Zion and have become bona fide citizens of this glorious land of assurance and health.
There’s no sickness in Zion. The day you made Jesus Lord of your life, you came into the place called Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17); you came into Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem. In Colossians 1:13 it’s called the Kingdom of God’s dear Son: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” So, as a child of God you live in this spiritual kingdom where divinity reigns; where divine health is your present-hour possession. There’s no darkness there; that’s why it’s called the kingdom of light!
You’re not subject to the darkness and the depraved systems and structures of this world; you belong in Zion! It’s a land of glory, prosperity, beauty and honour, where sickness is foreign. Therefore you have both the right and responsibility to say “no” to sickness and refuse to be sick.Healing tagged by admin
“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:22-23).
Faith isn’t just about believing God’s Word in your heart, faith speaks, and what the Master was saying is the Scripture above is – what you say is what you get.
Jesus showed us a practical example of this when He cursed the fig tree. After He spoke to the tree and said “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever,” the Bible says, “And his disciples heard it” (Mark 11:14). There was no immediate observable change on the tree when Jesus spoke. But by the next morning, as the disciples passed by the alley, they immediately noticed that the tree had withered from its roots. Jesus did this to teach us to talk our faith. Don’t just stop at believing what the Word says, talk it!
In the area of your health for example, don’t stop with merely believing that the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11); vocalize it! Say, “Thank you Lord, because every fiber of my being and every cell in my body has been vitalized, repaired, energized and overhauled by the Spirit that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead!
Your life is the offspring of your confessions, so declare God’s Word concerning your job, health and finances today, and always.Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18)
Man is a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.’’ The spirit and the soul comprise the inward man. Your body and its senses make up the outward man, through which you make contact with the physical world. Your physical body is your domicile–the house where the ‘real you’–your spirit lives. This is why you must give premium attention to the development of your spirit through the Word of God.
God wants you to live from your spirit and the way to do this is to fix your gaze on the Word of God, refusing to be moved by the dictates of your physical senses. The real you – your recreated human spirit, is fashioned after the image of Christ; thus, there’s no sickness, weakness, limitation, imperfection, or barrenness of any kind in your spirit.
Refuse to dwell on a pain or growth you feel in your physical body; don’t rate yourself on how much you have in your pocket or in your bank account. You’re a spirit being therefore see yourself from the perspective of God’s Word and relate from that realm. Live from inside out, from your spirit!
