Grow Unto Maturity

on Jul 26 in Healing tagged by admin

And if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

As one who is born again, you’re Abraham’s seed, and therefore, all of God’s blessings belong to you (Galatians 3:29). But to effectively appropriate these blessings to your life, your words must align with the Word of God, and the realities of the new creation.

For example, when a Christian says “O Lord, heal me; I just caught the flu and I am so sick”; you can immediately locate him as a babe in the things of the Spirit. The spiritually mature would rather speak the wisdom of God. Rather than talk sickness, he’d speak health and life. He’d say “The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me therefore I cannot be sick; I’m vitalized by the power of God – spirit, soul and body!” There’s a clear difference.

The babe in Christ seeks to be healed; but the spiritually mature knows he cannot be sick, because he is the righteousness of God in Christ and therefore speaks accordingly. James 3:2 AMP says “For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.” Spiritual maturity is measured by your words; therefore, it’s important that you grow in the Word unto maturity, and learn to communicate rightly.

Heal the Sick

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick” (Luke 9:1-2).

God has given us the authority in the Name of Jesus to issue decrees with daring audacity and have them established. That’s why we can speak and act in boldness because of who we are in Christ. For example, when you study the Scriptures, you’d realize that God never asked us to pray to Him to heal the sick; rather, He says we should to heal the sick.

In Matthew 10:8, Luke 9:2, Luke 10:9, Jesus charged the disciples to heal the sick; He didn’t ask them to pray to Him or to the Father to heal the sick. In Mark 16:17-18 He said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Jesus made it clear that we have been given the authority in His Name to heal the sick.

Peter, addressing the lame man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful said, “…Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). He was conscious of the authority he had and knew that though he couldn’t give the man money at that time, he could ‘give’ him healing in the Name of Jesus.

When you pray for the sick, make bold decrees! Command the devils responsible for the sickness to come out and that the sick be healed in the Name of Jesus.

What Have You Done With the Word?

on Jun 23 in Healing tagged by admin

Put into action the word I covenanted with you when you left Egypt. I’m living and breathing among you right now. Don’t be timid. Don’t hold back” (Haggai 2:5 MSG)

The Spirit of God wants us to think and function in consistency with the Word. He wants us to know it’s our responsibility to see to it that His Word comes to pass in our lives! The Word has already been given, Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”, and it will work and produce results for anyone who acts on it. So your responsibility as a Christian is to work the Word and bring it to pass in your life!

Isaiah 33:24 says, “And the inhabitant [of Zion] shall not say, I am sick…” And Hebrews 12:22 lets us know we dwell in Zion, ““But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God…” What have you done with these truths? For one to cry to God for healing, having come across these truths, means he’s ignorant! You’re the caretaker of your body and you ought to decide what happens to it. If anything goes wrong with it, then heal it with the Word. Make a change today with the Word!

Zion: A Place of Absolute Health

on Jun 02 in Healing tagged by admin

And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24)

In the scripture above, the prophet Isaiah talks about a city and informs us that the inhabitants of that city shall not say, “I am sick.” He introduces us to a place of absolute health. In Hebrews 12:22, the Bible tells us that we have come into that city; it’s called Zion – the city of the living God. That means those of us who are born again have been born into Zion and have become bona fide citizens of this glorious land of assurance and health.

There’s no sickness in Zion. The day you made Jesus Lord of your life, you came into the place called Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17); you came into Zion, the heavenly Jerusalem. In Colossians 1:13 it’s called the Kingdom of God’s dear Son: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” So, as a child of God you live in this spiritual kingdom where divinity reigns; where divine health is your present-hour possession. There’s no darkness there; that’s why it’s called the kingdom of light!

You’re not subject to the darkness and the depraved systems and structures of this world; you belong in Zion! It’s a land of glory, prosperity, beauty and honour, where sickness is foreign. Therefore you have both the right and responsibility to say “no” to sickness and refuse to be sick.

Vocalize Your Faith

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mark 11:22-23).

Faith isn’t just about believing God’s Word in your heart, faith speaks, and what the Master was saying is the Scripture above is – what you say is what you get.

Jesus showed us a practical example of this when He cursed the fig tree. After He spoke to the tree and said “No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever,” the Bible says, “And his disciples heard it” (Mark 11:14). There was no immediate observable change on the tree when Jesus spoke. But by the next morning, as the disciples passed by the alley, they immediately noticed that the tree had withered from its roots. Jesus did this to teach us to talk our faith. Don’t just stop at believing what the Word says, talk it!

In the area of your health for example, don’t stop with merely believing that the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you (Romans 8:11); vocalize it! Say, “Thank you Lord, because every fiber of my being and every cell in my body has been vitalized, repaired, energized and overhauled by the Spirit that raised up Jesus Christ from the dead!

Your life is the offspring of your confessions, so declare God’s Word concerning your job, health and finances today, and always.

Live from Inside Out!

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Man is a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.’’ The spirit and the soul comprise the inward man. Your body and its senses make up the outward man, through which you make contact with the physical world. Your physical body is your domicile–the house where the ‘real you’–your spirit lives. This is why you must give premium attention to the development of your spirit through the Word of God.

God wants you to live from your spirit and the way to do this is to fix your gaze on the Word of God, refusing to be moved by the dictates of your physical senses. The real you – your recreated human spirit, is fashioned after the image of Christ; thus, there’s no sickness, weakness, limitation, imperfection, or barrenness of any kind in your spirit.

Refuse to dwell on a pain or growth you feel in your physical body; don’t rate yourself on how much you have in your pocket or in your bank account. You’re a spirit being therefore see yourself from the perspective of God’s Word and relate from that realm. Live from inside out, from your spirit!

God Gives through His Word

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20)

A lady once came to a preacher for prayer. She told him that God had put a sickness on her to make her more humble. The preacher prayed, “Oh God, please give her more of this sickness so she can be even more humble.” She quickly rejected the prayer; she did not want to be sick anymore. Sadly, it’s the same thinking with some today, they think God made them sick or poor as a way to discipline them and make them humble. That’s just wrong, and it’s a result of gross ignorance of God’s Word.

God never uses the devil’s devices on His kids. Jesus said, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 1:10 AMP)

God is not mysterious; In fact, He gave us His Word that we may understand His ways, thoughts and personality. All God’s gifts and blessings are in His Word. Whenever He wants to give you something, He does so through His Word, not through sickness or poverty. His desire for His kids is that they enjoy the happy, victorious, prosperous and transcendent life in Christ.

Cheer Up; There’s Hope For You!

on Apr 14 in Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” (Romans 15:13).

Luke 8:43-48 gives a remarkable account of the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. She had spent all her earnings on medical bills, but instead of getting better, she only got worse. She heard about Jesus, and on a certain day, came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His clothes, “For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” (Matthew 9:21). As soon as she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, her bleeding ceased, and she immediately knew she was healed. She didn’t need anybody to confirm her healing; she just accepted it and that was it.

Though the woman had become desperate, having found herself in a hopeless situation for twelve long years, hope came to her when she heard of the miracles of Jesus. Her hope translated to faith when she told herself “I’m going to touch His clothes and be healed!” Never think the situation you might be facing is too hopeless, for no problem is insurmountable.

There’s hope for you in Christ! It makes no difference the medical condition you’ve been diagnosed with; cheer up, there’s hope for you. You too can be healed; you can achieve that desire in your heart. There’s a miracle for you right now in that situation for which you require a change. Hallelujah!

Zoë – Life through the Spirit!

on Apr 07 in Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)
Biology and Medicine teach that life is transmitted through blood. This is also revealed in the Old Testament, for the Bible says the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). But when you’re born again, you cease to live by the blood that flows through your physical body. So, what, or rather who then gives life to the new creation man? It’s the Holy Spirit: “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (give life to) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11). That life is Zoë – the God life!
If you have this life in you and you’re conscious of it, sickness, disease and infirmity cannot thrive in your body. It’s a life that destroys infection. Understand that sickness and disease attack the blood, but your life is not dependent on blood if you’re born again: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13). In Christ, your life is sustained by the Spirit. Hallelujah!

Exercise Authority Over Your Body

on Mar 26 in Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)

As a child of God your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19). Your body is not yours, it’s owned by God, but you’re the caretaker of your body. You’re to keep watch over your body and keep it in health. You’re the one to decide what to allow or disallow from your physical body. This is the reason you must learn to exercise authority over your body by rejecting sickness, disease and infirmity.

Sometimes we find believers who ignorantly make the wrong confessions over their bodies; like the one who says, “I always wake up with headaches” or “I always get sick during winter season” When folks talk this way, they’re actually nursing and pampering sickness over their bodies without realizing it.

Rather than nurse and pamper sickness in your body with such negative confessions, you ought to exercise your God-given authority and say “In the Name of Jesus, I refuse to accommodate sickness in my body!” You’re not ordinary; refuse to be infected by any sickness, disease or infirmity. When sickness tries to fasten itself to your body, reject it. Don’t accommodate abnormal growths in your body; cut them out with the Word. Tell your body what to do and it will obey you.
