“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18)
Man is a spirit; he has a soul and lives in a body. 2 Corinthians 4:16 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.’’ The spirit and the soul comprise the inward man. Your body and its senses make up the outward man, through which you make contact with the physical world. Your physical body is your domicile–the house where the ‘real you’–your spirit lives. This is why you must give premium attention to the development of your spirit through the Word of God.
God wants you to live from your spirit and the way to do this is to fix your gaze on the Word of God, refusing to be moved by the dictates of your physical senses. The real you – your recreated human spirit, is fashioned after the image of Christ; thus, there’s no sickness, weakness, limitation, imperfection, or barrenness of any kind in your spirit.
Refuse to dwell on a pain or growth you feel in your physical body; don’t rate yourself on how much you have in your pocket or in your bank account. You’re a spirit being therefore see yourself from the perspective of God’s Word and relate from that realm. Live from inside out, from your spirit!Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20)
A lady once came to a preacher for prayer. She told him that God had put a sickness on her to make her more humble. The preacher prayed, “Oh God, please give her more of this sickness so she can be even more humble.” She quickly rejected the prayer; she did not want to be sick anymore. Sadly, it’s the same thinking with some today, they think God made them sick or poor as a way to discipline them and make them humble. That’s just wrong, and it’s a result of gross ignorance of God’s Word.
God never uses the devil’s devices on His kids. Jesus said, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 1:10 AMP)
God is not mysterious; In fact, He gave us His Word that we may understand His ways, thoughts and personality. All God’s gifts and blessings are in His Word. Whenever He wants to give you something, He does so through His Word, not through sickness or poverty. His desire for His kids is that they enjoy the happy, victorious, prosperous and transcendent life in Christ.Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost” (Romans 15:13).
Luke 8:43-48 gives a remarkable account of the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. She had spent all her earnings on medical bills, but instead of getting better, she only got worse. She heard about Jesus, and on a certain day, came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His clothes, “For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole” (Matthew 9:21). As soon as she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, her bleeding ceased, and she immediately knew she was healed. She didn’t need anybody to confirm her healing; she just accepted it and that was it.
Though the woman had become desperate, having found herself in a hopeless situation for twelve long years, hope came to her when she heard of the miracles of Jesus. Her hope translated to faith when she told herself “I’m going to touch His clothes and be healed!” Never think the situation you might be facing is too hopeless, for no problem is insurmountable.
There’s hope for you in Christ! It makes no difference the medical condition you’ve been diagnosed with; cheer up, there’s hope for you. You too can be healed; you can achieve that desire in your heart. There’s a miracle for you right now in that situation for which you require a change. “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” (1 Corinthians 6:19)
As a child of God your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19). Your body is not yours, it’s owned by God, but you’re the caretaker of your body. You’re to keep watch over your body and keep it in health. You’re the one to decide what to allow or disallow from your physical body. This is the reason you must learn to exercise authority over your body by rejecting sickness, disease and infirmity.
Sometimes we find believers who ignorantly make the wrong confessions over their bodies; like the one who says, “I always wake up with headaches” or “I always get sick during winter season” When folks talk this way, they’re actually nursing and pampering sickness over their bodies without realizing it.
Rather than nurse and pamper sickness in your body with such negative confessions, you ought to exercise your God-given authority and say “In the Name of Jesus, I refuse to accommodate sickness in my body!” You’re not ordinary; refuse to be infected by any sickness, disease or infirmity. When sickness tries to fasten itself to your body, reject it. Don’t accommodate abnormal growths in your body; cut them out with the Word. Tell your body what to do and it will obey you.Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“It is the Spirit Who gives life [He is the Life-giver]…” (John 6:63 AMP)
If you’re born again, and have received the Holy Spirit, no sickness, disease or infirmity should have the power or ability to ravage your body. This is a reality and it’s important that you catch it. The Holy Spirit is the life-giver and key to every blessing; He is the source of all life in the earth.
When the Holy Spirit—the life-giver—takes His abode in you, He gives life to your physical body. Even if your body had been paralyzed, His presence in you will restore you to perfect health! The Bible says if Christ be in you, though the body be dead because of sin; that is, though it be broken because of sickness and disease, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness (Romans 8:10). As one who’s born again and has received the Holy Spirit, you don’t need prayer to be healed of any infirmity. You can simply walk out of that sickness or predicament you may have found yourself in.
So stir up that gift of God in you, and work out salvation in your body and every other area of your life through the Holy Spirit.Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).
Our opening verse shows that we are citizens of Zion. One of distinguishing qualities of those in Zion is that they don’t get sick, “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity” (Isaiah 33:24).
God’s Word clearly shows us that sickness has no place in the new creation. Matthew 8:17 says, “…Himself [Jesus] took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” If He took them, then we don’t have them. It’s not in your nature as the new creation to be sick!
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This means, if you were sick, and couldn’t walk before you were born again, now that you’re born again, old things have passed away; the sickness or disease is passed; you are healed because all things are become new! Declare boldly, “I walk in the Name of Jesus,” then get up and walk.
The new man carries the indestructible, indefatigable, unconquerable, and invincible life of God – Zoë. God has ordained us to live the supernatural life naturally! Hallelujah!Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
You’re not just a body; you’re a spirit. Your physical body is your house. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” That means your body belongs to God; He has bought it with the blood of Jesus.
Although your body belongs to God, He has made you its caretaker. Therefore, if you’re ever confronted by sickness or disease in your body, it’s your responsibility to do something about it!
God has already done what He needs to do about your physical health; He’s already provided healing for you, and nothing stops you from living in divine health. Matthew 8:17 says, “…Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” So, you ought to be healthy and strong!
Learn to keep to your body healthy and strong using the Word, for it is medicine to your flesh. (Proverbs 4:22) Hallelujah!Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Proverbs 17:22)
If you’d observe people over a time, you’d make the remarkable discovery that people who don’t laugh, easily get sick, whereas, laughing people don’t get sick. This means laughter is more spiritual than many realize. There’s more to it than a mere response to a joke or hilarious event. In the Kingdom of God, laughter is medicine: “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones” (Proverbs 17:22).
Laughter is generally found in an atmosphere that’s full of joy. The anointing of the Holy Spirit is most effective in such an environment. When the anointing is present in an environment, everything that’s not of God, including sicknesses, diseases and infirmities are dispelled.
Let the joy of the Lord spring up from within your heart in spite of prevailing situations. Learn to laugh your way to health and victory! Let nothing take the laughter of the Spirit from your mouth.Healing, Uncategorized tagged by admin
Eternal life, the essence of God – His very nature – is God’s gift to all who believe in Jesus. It’s the life Jesus brought to the world, that’s why He said in John 10:10, “…I am come that they might have life (eternal life), and that they might have it more abundantly”; it’s the transcendent life of glory. If you’re born again, that divine, glorious life of God has supplanted your frail humanity.
