Sickness is Unnecessary

on Jul 21 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

For the Christian, sicknesses, grief and sorrows were borne away by Jesus, and in their place He gave health, peace and joy.

If you believe in Jesus but have been sick in your body, God wants you to get up and out of the rut. His desire is that you prosper and live in health as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). Jesus wants you to discover all He did for you through His death on the cross and begin to appropriate them to yourself.

God loves you, and He sent Jesus to die on the cross for you as proof of that love. Healing and divine health are part of the salvation that was wrought for you on the cross. Therefore, there’s no sickness or disease in your life today that you’re supposed to have. The Bible says Jesus went about doing good and healing all those that were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10:38). He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). The devil has been defeated; his works have been paralyzed and the victory is yours, Hallelujah!

Walk in the light of your victory today; free of sickness, disease and infirmity.

You Can Have Faith for Others to Be Healed

You Can Have Faith for Others to Be Healed

Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour(Matthew 8:13)

The Bible tells an inspiring story of a certain Centurion whose dear servant was sick and ready to die. When he heard of Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to beseech Him that He would come and heal his servant. Jesus agreed and followed them. But just before they got to the Centurion’s house, the Centurion sent a message to Jesus and said, Lord, don’t trouble yourself; for I’m not worthy that you should enter under my roof; neither do I consider myself worthy to come to you, but just give the word, and my servant shall be healed (Luke 7:2-7).

When Jesus heard the words of the centurion He marvelled at his faith and turned to those that followed Him and said, “I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.” By the time the messengers got back to the Centurion’s house, they found the hitherto sick servant perfectly healed and made whole (Luke 7:9-10). The faith of his master prevailed and he (the servant) got a miracle!

If the Centurion could demonstrate great faith on his servant’s behalf and get a miracle, you too can have faith to receive a miracle today for your loved ones.

The Triumphant Life

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:11-12).

Biology and Medicine teach that life is transmitted through blood. This is also revealed in the Old Testament, the Bible says the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11). But when you’re born again, you cease to live by the blood that flows through your physical body. So, what, or who then gives life to the new creation man? It’s the Holy Spirit: But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (give life to) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11). That life is Zoë – the God life!

If you have this life in you and you are conscious of it, sickness, disease and infirmity cannot thrive in your body. That life destroys infection. Understand this, sickness and disease attack the blood, but your life is not dependent on blood if you’re born again: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12-13).

Live From Above

on Jun 19 in Uncategorized tagged by admin

And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world (John 8:23).

When Jesus told the Jews, “You’re from beneath and I’m from above,” He certainly wasn’t referring to His physical origin but His spiritual origin. He is the Word of God that came from heaven (John 1:1; John 6:33).

Now, if you’re born again, you’re born, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible seed, which is the Word of God that lives and abides forever (1 Peter 1:23). This means you’re born of the Word that came from above and you have the same life from above as Jesus. Thus you can as well declare that you’re from above. This consciousness of your divine origin will change the way you live.

Perhaps everyone in your neighbourhood is catching the flu, you should declare, “No, not me. I’m from above, and we don’t catch the flu where I’m from!” This is how you train yourself in the consciousness of the life you’ve received. Remember, Jesus said you’re not of the world, even as He is not of the world (John 17:16). Praise God!

You’re Indestructible

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23)

You were born of God’s incorruptible seed when you received salvation. In Luke 8:11, Jesus said the Word of God is a seed. This means that when you are born again, you’re born of God’s seed – His Word. This is makes you indestructible.

The life in you is sickness, disease and death resistant. You have the very life of God, and that makes you supernatural. The same life that makes God who He is now flows in your spirit, soul and body. Your life is no longer dependent on the blood that flows through your physical body.

Back in the Old Testament, God told the children of Israel that the blood of man is the life of his flesh (Leviticus 17:11). But when you become a child of God by being born again, you are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17); your blood ceases to be what sustains your life. You’re born of God and you have the life of God in you, which is not susceptible to sickness, disease or infirmity. Thus, you can live in health perpetually – divine health. Absolutely nothing can hurt or destroy you when you’re conscious of who you are in Christ.

Divine Vitalization

“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11)
The word “quicken” in our opening verse actually means to “make alive” or “vitalize.” This means the Holy Spirit living in you is the One who vitalizes and gives life to your physical body, not your blood. He was the One that incubated upon the dead body of Jesus and raised Him from the dead. Since that same Spirit now dwells in you and gives life to your physical body, it means no sickness, weakness or infirmity ought to stay in your body!
You need to understand that you’re not flesh and blood! If something has affected your blood, resulting in an anomaly in your physical body, it shouldn’t mean a death sentence, because the new creation doesn’t live by blood.
At His resurrection, Jesus didn’t have any blood flowing in His body, yet He was alive, not as a ghost, but as a new creation; He was born again – with a new life – the resurrection life. Now that you’re born again, this is the same life that’s in you. Therefore, nothing ought to go wrong with your physical body because the Spirit of God is the life of the new creation; meaning you’re divinely vitalized.

The Word Is All You Need

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20)

Our opening scripture lets us know the Word of God heals and delivers. If you’re sick and take time to meditate on the Word, the Word will produce healing in you. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh

The word translated health above is the Hebrew word “marpe,” which means medicine. The Word of God is medicine to your physical body; it will rejuvenate and revitalize you when you apply it to your life. The Word is alive and full of power; that means it’s active, operative and effective. If you will hear the Word and accept it, it would produce in you and for you the desired results.

The Word is the perfect antidote for sickness and disease. It’s your responsibility to lay hold on God’s Word, because the Word in your spirit and in your mouth will make you what it talks about.

Free From Sickness

God’s desire for His kids is for them to be healthy and strong. He wants you to prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2). The Bible says He has given us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17), but then, He knows that if you’re weak or sickly, you can’t enjoy those things. That’s why He made healing and divine health freely available to you.

Jesus took your infirmities and removed your sicknesses; this means you’re healed, healthy and strong. You don’t need to be in bondage to sickness and disease anymore. If He took them, then you have no business carrying them on you.

When Jesus took your sins, He made you sin-free and gave you a life of righteousness. In the same light, having taken your sickness, it means you now have health. This is the substitution message of the gospel. Jesus took your place that you might take His place. He took your place of sickness, disease and infirmity, and gave you health and healing. Thus, divine health and healing are your birthright in Christ! Praise God.

Look Beyond the Pain

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

God promised Abraham a son when he was very old; too old to have a child. His wife also was old, and had passed the child-bearing age. This was a seemingly hopeless and impossible situation to the ordinary human mind; yet Abraham did not consider the physical conditions, but believed God (Romans 4:19), and got his miracle.

While acting your faith in the Word for your healing and health, you may feel symptoms in your body, but refuse to consider them or let them dictate the circumstances of your life. Rather, see and meditate on the unseen realities of God’s Word.

Jonah 2:8 says, “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.” Those that observe their conditions turn themselves away from the God who offers mercy, and set aside the favour, grace, uplifment and healing that they should rightfully enjoy. The pain in your body is a lying vanity. Look beyond it and enjoy the grace of healing made available to you.

Look to the Word, beyond the pain; don’t sit there waiting while sickness takes over your body. The Bible says in Matthew 8:17, “…Himself (Jesus) took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” Apply God’s Word to your body, and it would work a miracle in you! Praise God!

Attend to the Word

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Do you realize that the Word of God is health to your flesh? The Hebrew word ‘marpe’ which is translated health in our opening scripture can also be translated ‘medicine.’ The Word of God is medicine to your flesh; this means if you take the Word of God into your system, it will produce results in you. It will heal your body, get rid of the cancer and destroy the migraine headaches; that’s the way the Word of God works – it heals your bones and cleanses your blood. Realize that your healing is in the Word and it’s important to apply it to your body.

God uses His Word to bring about what He desires. If you need health in your body today, God will only create it through His Word. Psalm 107:17-20 says, Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted… they draw near unto the gates of death. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. He sent his word, and healed them…” God sent healing to them through His Word. Your healing is in the Word and it’s important you give it your attention.

In our opening scripture, the Bible enjoins us to attend to the Word because of its ability to produce life and health in you. This goes beyond agreeing with the Word mentally. The Word has to go into your spirit and become personal to you; meditate on it till it alters your mindset and inundates you entire being, and then confess it with your mouth. Praise God!
