First Global Communion Service in the Year of Flourishing

Brethren convene across time zones with excitement for the year's first Global Communion Service.

At the dawn of the year, citizens of the BLW Nation and millions of participants in the New Year's Eve Service with Pastor Chris were set on course, in consistency with God's direction for 2017. Over the past month, we have renewed our minds with and immersed ourselves in the 'Year of Flourishing' message through the Pastor Chria Digital Library mobile app (PCDL) and the '8 Days of Meditation' exercise.

On Sunday the 5th of February, the brethren assembled again to hear God's Word from the lips of our Prophet, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome and celebrate the victories and testimonies that have characterized the year so far. Expectations were high in BLW churches and fellowships across timezones, from where the brethren reached out with their faiths to be transported even higher, in accordance with the message of the year.

The program featured moments of rapturous prayer and worship, with LMAM artiste, Rozey, leading the global congregation in the hit song, 'iFlourish', reminiscent of the New Year's Message. Each was divinely lifted by God's Spirit in realms of glorious flourishing as the BLW President and CEC Members answered questions from around the world.

BLW President and CEC Members Take On Questions from Around the World

Pastor Chris answers, "can a Christian be possessed of devils," among other questions.

The February Global Communion Service availed congregants the unique privilege of receiving instructions in righteousness as the BLW President and CEC Members answered questions from viewers around the world.

Joined by Reverend Tom Amenkhienan, Reverend Ray Okocha and Pastor Kayode Adesina, the man of God, Pastor Chris, answered such questions as "did God create evil?" All the way from Morocco, another viewer inquired concerning the feasibility of a Christian's possession with devils. With copious scriptural references, the esteemed BLW President provided the Spirit's insight into every subject.

"God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all," Pastor Chris stated as he reassured multitudes around the world that God is not the originator of evil. The man of God also proved through the scriptures that the revelation of God and His creation of all that is good bears witness to His nature.

The BLW President Announces February 2017, 'the Month of Prophecy'!

"This is the day of the thriving Church...the singing Church...the joyful Church," Pastor says.

At a high point, the BLW President, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome declared the Word of the Spirit to us for February 2017, calling it 'the Month of Prophecy' after he read powerful thoughts contained in Ezekiel 37:1-9.

Full of inspiration of the Spirit, Pastor Chris declared God's Word concerning us beginning in this month, saying "by the end of this month, tremendous things would have happened in your life…beautiful things!" CEC Members read Acts 2:14-18, 1 Corinthians 14:3-4 and 1 Corinthians 14:6, revealing the Spirit's desire to cause tremendous victories in the Church in these times.

Pastor Chris further defined prophecy as follows: to speak divine inspiration; to speak forth divine revelation; to foretell future events; and, to give divine instruction or teaching (doctrine). "You are going to use that gift of prophecy to change things in your life; it will help perfect your walk in Christ and improve the quality of your ministrations," Pastor said to the global congregation.

"You cannot prophesy without inspiration," Pastor further stated as he unveiled steps to function in the required inspiration. The man of God instructed the brethren to meditate on the Word, pray in the Spirit and talk the known into the unknown, in order to activate the Spirit's inspiration for prophecy.

Pastor Answers 'Is it OK to Leave Children with Carnal and Negative Relatives?'

Pastor Chris addresses question about parents' role in protecting kids from negative influences.

Nsidiwe from South Africa posed a thought-provoking question in the 'Question and Answer' segment of February Global Communion Service with Pastor Chris, inquiring about the rightness of delivering children to the custody of a carnal or negative grandmother.

Spiritual instruction presented by the BLW President in admonishing listeners to prioritize the protection of their children from negative influences, regardless of the source of such control, was also tempered by wisdom provided to deal with such situations, since contact with close relatives is often inevitable.

"[God's] Station is On!" — Pastor Chris at Global Communion Service

Change situations and circumstances, direct your path and chart your course this month.

"This month, you will prophesy; it is important that you do," Pastor Chris begins in the featured video excerpt from February's Global Communion Service. Stoking the embers of prophetic fire in the hearts of congregants throughout the world, the BLW President enumerated reasons for our prophesying in this special month

Pastor continued, saying "His Word has gone forth concerning everybody and about every situation, past, present and future," as He demystified prophecy, encouraging the brethren to tune their spiritual antennae and connect with readily available divine inspiration. Outside of our personal profit in prophesying, Pastor says, "you are going to use it to help other people — to edify, to exhort, to comfort."

Further emphasizing the unique atmosphere and fire for the Lord witnessed on his visit to the LoveWorld Convocation Arena in Lagos, Pastor Benny said "the United States needs Nigeria now!" He communicated his excitement in looking forward to the upcoming Special Ministers' Conferences in Accra-Ghana and Lagos, Nigeria.

It was, without a doubt, an epochal occasion, leaving both the host and everyone in the congregation looking forward in earnest to upcoming programs with both ministers.

Pastor Chris Extracts Perfect Definition of Prophecy from 1 Corinthians 14:6

Discover the four definitions that encapsulate the Spirit's idea concerning prophecy.

The spiritual instruction meted out to BLW citizens and participants in Sunday's Global Communion Service demands an understanding of the subject of prophecy — what it is and what it means to the believer in Christ Jesus.

In the featured video excerpt, our man of God, Reverend (Dr.) Chris Oyakhilome, outlines four important definitions of prophecy from 1 Corinthians 14.6: to speak by divine inspiration; to speak forth divine revelation; to foretell future events (prediction); and, to give divine instruction or teaching. The company of other scriptures, including Acts 2.14-18 and 1 Corinthians 14:3-4, further sheds light on the subject.
