Depression: A natural human emotion or demonic?

Depression is known as a disorder that involves feelings of sadness, which affects mood, thoughts, and even the body. It is often accompanied by loss of interest in life and interferes with a person’s ability to work, sleep, eat or enjoy pleasurable activity.
This disorder affects people in such a way that they cannot function normally anymore; their relationships suffer; they falter in their standing in the community and the roles they are expected to play; and in extreme cases, leads individuals to harm themselves, or even commit suicide.
Can depression therefore be termed a buildup of negative human emotion due to pain, sadness and an unsuccessful life; or is there more to it than just human emotion? Could it be a result of demonic activity? How can one be free from depression?

HOW DID YOU RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HIS GIFTS?

Nebu from the Middle East asked Pastor Chris how to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Chris threw great light on this subject, and one of the things he noted was that we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit much in the same way we receive the Holy Spirit – by asking God according to Luke 11:11-13; but we must ask in faith.
